| The battle of the lefties, Jamie Moyer and Johan Santana, unfortunately for the Phillies go the way of the Mets' Santana as he goes 8 innings allowing only three hits and a single run. Not that Moyer pitched bad, four hits and two runs in 6, but Santana was just a bit better as he stymies the big Phillie lefty bats and improves to 4-0. Despite pitching well and not allowing any more than four runs in any of the three games, the Phils get swept by the Mets by scores of 4-1, 4-2 and 3-1 as their potent offense gets silenced in the series. Francisco Rodriguez gets saves in all three games for New York. |
