The Sox trail from the start and can not get things going against the Orioles in the battlefor last place in the division. Leaving 9 runners on along with grounding into three doubleplays won't help either. John Lackey suffers his first loss as a member of the Red Sox, as Baltimore gets 3 runs off him in the 2nd inning along with three more in the 8th against the tandem of Daniel Bard and Ramon Ramirez to put the game away. The Sox finish the first month of the season three games below the .500 mark, although somewhat improved over that 4-11 start.
