After Tim Wakefield spots Texas a quick 4-0 lead after an inning and a half, the Sox come back swinging and tie the game in the bottom of the 2nd via a David Ortiz 2-run homer, Josh Reddick's RBI double and Marco Scutaro-s RBI single. Chris Davis gives the Rangers the lead back in the top of the 6th with a solo shot, and that 5-4 score is the final. Only three times since 1972 has a Red Sox team started a season at 4-10 or worse - this 2010 SOM season and in 1984 with 4-10 starts, and the 1996 team that started the season at 2-12. They are bound to start winning pretty soon. |
