The battle of the Roys (and future teammates), Roy Halladay and Roy Oswalt, unfortunately goes the way of the future teammate. Oswalt goes the distance for the Astros, striking out 9 including the meat of the order in the 9th inning (Howard, Werth and Ibanez) after a Chase Utley single. Started off well for the Phillies after a Jimmy Rollins leadoff triple and he scores on a groundout, but quickly goes sour as Houston gets two in the first and two more in the 2nd on a J. R. Towles 2-run homer. Halladay settled down after that and goes 7, but the Phils couldn't crack the gate of their future teammate Oswalt.

Roy Halladay(0-2) took the loss.  Oswalt was obviously very pleased with his
performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games
where everything worked.  My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched
another two or three innings.  I only hope that I can do it again next time
out!'
