Nothing better than getting a series sweep of the team in first place in the division. The Braves came into the series with a blazing 21-7 record and first place. They still hold first (in a tie now with the Mets), but the Phils do gain three games in the series sweep and now sit only thre back with their 5th straight victory. Today, Cole Hamels goes to 5-1 as he holds Atlanta scoreless through 8 innings of work while getting two hits at the plate, and a huge 3-run homerun for Wilson Valdez sets the early tone. In the three games, the Phils outscore the Braves 29-5!
