Gregg Zaun blasted a homerun at Miller Park as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the
Philadelphia Phillies by the count of 2 to 1.
The game was won by Milwaukee with a run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
Zaun doubled. After an out was recorded, Joe Inglett came to bat and was
walked intentionally. Rickie Weeks then reached on an error. Craig Counsell
followed and he grounded into a double play. Philadelphia could do no damage
in the 9th.
Chris Narveson(2-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 8 innings. John Axford
earned the save, his 1st. Jose Contreras(0-2) was tagged with the loss in
relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned
run in the game.
