May 10, 2010 Blue Jays 7, Red Sox 4

You can't win a game without making contact with the ball, as Marco Scutaro sets a career high with four strikeouts at the plate and teammate David Ortiz joins Scutaro in the silver sombrero club with four whiffs of his own to tie his career high. Overall the Sox strike out 16 times against four Toronto pitchers, including all five outs recorded by stopper Kevin Gregg via K. It all adds up to a season high fifth straight loss for the Sox. This game will mark only the third time since 1997 that the Red Sox batters have struck out at least 16 times in a game.
