May 11, 2010 Red Sox 4, Blue Jays 3

Homeruns for Kevin Youkilis and Jason Varitek lead the charge and Dice-K doesn't get the greatest start, but enough for the win. Jonathan Papelbon finally pitches like he should, and gets his 4th save of the year.

One run was the difference at Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox halted a 5
game slide and defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4 to 3.

Boston promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they came up
with 2 runs on 2 hits. The big moment was provided by Kevin Youkilis who
brought a roar from the partisan Fenway Park fans when he smashed a two-run
homer. Toronto threatened in the 9th but Boston was able to put down the
rally.

Daisuke Matsuzaka(1-1) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win.
Jonathan Papelbon earned the save, his 4th. Dana Eveland(1-4) absorbed the
loss. He allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in 4 innings.

Terry Francona was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of
games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
