Dustin Pedroia gets three hits and a nice double steal for Bill Hall and Marco Scutaro adds to the mix as the Sox dispatch the Indians in the first meeting of the year between the teams. Fausto Carmona stays in for the distance for Cleveland, with the surprise 146 pitch complete game!!

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI at Progressive Field
as the Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians by the count of 6 to 4.
 
In the top of the 5th inning Boston scored 3 runs when they came up with 4
base hits.  It was enough to earn the victory.  Ramon Ramirez earned the save
with a perfect ninth, his 2nd save.  
 
The win was credited to Daisuke Matsuzaka(5-2) who went 6 innings allowing 3
runs. Fausto Carmona(3-3) was the loser.  He allowed 6 runs and 11 hits in 9
innings.
