Dustin Pedroia jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI at Coors Field
where the Boston Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies 10 to 4.
Colorado was unable to claim the lead after Boston went ahead in the 6th
inning scoring 2 runners on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by
Bill Hall who silenced Coors Field as he ripped a one-base hit bringing home
two baserunners. Colorado was out-hit by Boston, 14 hits to 9.
Daisuke Matsuzaka(6-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Jason Hammel(3-7) ended up with the loss. He pitched 5 and
1/3 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 walks.
