| Take out the top of the first inning, and the Red Sox have a tight 1-0 victory with Dodger starter Hiroki Kuroda getting a tough luck complete game loss. However, the top of the first was played after all in which LA does all of their damage in pasting Sox starter Clay Buchholz for five runs and the loss pretty much ending the game before the Sox even got to bat. Still a complete game for Kuroda (obviously lol), just a win instead. Old friend Manny Ramirez gets a 4 for 4 day as the Dodgers take two of three games. Hiroki Kuroda held Boston to 3 hits and Manny Ramirez had 4 hits at Fenway
Park where the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers beat the Boston Red Sox 5 to 1.
Los Angeles(NL) did all of it's offensive work in the 1st inning when they
came up with 5 runs on 5 hits. That early scoring held up. The pitchers
took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again.
Kuroda(5-5) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. The loss was
charged to Clay Buchholz(6-4). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and
3 walks in 5 innings.
