The Sox play comeback all game, with three runs in the 6th all courtesy of Kevin Youkilis (2-run triple and run scored) to tie theg ame and it stays tied until the 10th. After LA gets a run in the 10th the Sox get a golden opportunity in the bottom of the 10th for the win with the bases loaded after scoring a run and only one out, but a runner gets thrown out at home for the second out and a grounder ends the inning. Andre Ethier smokes a 20run homerun off of newcomer Robert Manuel as the Dodgers take a 2-run lead in the 11th and this time hold on. Manuel's first major league decision goes into the loss collumn (he pitched in three games in 2009 with the Reds with no decisions). |
